F. Cade 1959 Anas acuta 27 May cont and joined the flight, so that there were finally 8 loons mulling in the air, one of which was a hen as nearly as I could see. Finally they broke up into two groups of 4 each and landed on the mud flats near the logoon at the mouth of the river. 29 May Cafe Beaumont - about 50 were seen in the melted area near between the air strip and the site. Waterfowl and shore birds were concentrated here apparently because it was the only open water around - the cold north wind freezing frozen cover the melt water ponds cover large, tweets of time Peter-Schwader Lakes - Nobby tells me there are Gorks frequenting the open water between the two lakes, June Peter-Schwader Lakes - 3 ducks were seen along the snow-banked stream between the two lakes. 4 June Peter-Schwader L. - two ducks seen on stream between two lakes both morning and evening.
