T. Cade 1959 Spatula clypeata 29 May Pitwegea - a [illegible] flew up from the backwater by the blow behind the tent when the plane came in. Cope Breakfast - a [illegible] was seen with the concentration of birds at the clewline site. 21 June Unmist - a bright plumaged drake was seen with pin tails on a pond along alligator weed just above the creek outs the upper terace. 23 June Unmist - a pair was seen to fly across the east end of the air strip and land on a pond close to the north edge of the strip. 24 June Unmist - drake seen sitting at edge of pond on 11 miles of runway. Spatula clypeata is now Anas clypeata pil AON 1998
