Cade 1959 Spermophilus andulatus 0-22 May Pitmegea River - squirrels in limited numbers have been seen on most of the local ridges, on gravel blocks along the river, and in gravelly areas at the mouth of the river. 27 May Pitmegea - seen every day in the favored localities - gravel banks along the river and ridge top tundra bennies. May Peters - Schrader - heard several times in rocky areas on the west side of lake opposite camp. June Schrader Lake - very common in the meadow areas behind Mac- Taraugh's cabin. 4 June Peters - Schrader - seen in all areas covered - not abundant. 24 June Unniat - none seen in any area where previously observed.
