24 Hypoistus alternans This little species, common in hollow trees in New South, was caught at Lockburie in its "boys" tent. Three specimens. Rhino lphus megaphyllus Evidently a very common bat. About 2000 estimated in Gordon mine tunnel at his Rope. Common flies into Lancegoffs at night. Stone killed three at Lockburie + Lortabille. Common in tunnels in road, Hukelton to Chillys. One at Brown's Creek. Several found by Van in mines at Tunnel Gulley, Wrock. I saw one in the tunnel of the "Howard Boon". Even Van did not catch it. Several noted at upper Nesbit R a few shot in sand road, top of McIlwraith Ropg, 1800 ft One from Lited at Laura, when they kids during th day, laying from the bed springs. Several from water tunnel at Mt Dimijan; two from Lance at Stepton's Plate Three in suburbs 15 mi from Cookton
