Cuscuses. (maculatus) At the "tip" spotted cuscus was only moderately common. We never got a fully adult male. The eyes are brilliantly . The animals in their scrub, rarely venturing out with "four". (orientalis) No gray cuscuses found at the "tip". Iron Range proved to be rather rich in Spotted Cuscuses. An excellent series of all stages in both sexes was secured. Three brown (gray) cuscuses were collected at Iron Range. The Spotted Cuscuses were eating the fruits of the Leichart Tree, Nauclea of the Rubiaceae Spotted Cuscuses were apparently rarer at the western side of the scrub: only 2 were collected. Two brown cuscuses shot by Van at Shepherd's Batting Site, Peach River; also others taken by Don Verna at same place. Pouch young in 94.
